the Danny mahan
Foundation vision
Bringing prevention education and resources for all individuals in the fight against the Opiod/Fentanyl epidemic and helping to remove the barriers on the road to recovery.
Daniel Mahan lost his life to an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 21, just days before his birthday. He was a son, brother, friend, a shining star with courage, charisma, and fearlessness.
The Danny Mahan Foundation has been established to help fight the opioid/fentanyl epidemic. The CDC estimates that in the 12-month period ending in October 2021, more than 105,000 Americans died of drug overdoses, with 66 percent of those deaths related to synthetic opioids like fentanyl.
Addiction does not discriminate; it does not consider your age, race or social class. Anyone can fall into addiction. It takes awareness, education, courage, and support to help those in need to fight this battle.
Our goal is to share Daniel’s story in order to create resources for individuals and families to let them know that they are not alone in this fight. We are here to help, and you can overcome.
